Rising Sun Restaurant was established in 1981 and is a family oriented business. Our Frankfort location has been a favorite carry-out place. From the many years of satisfied customers, fortunately, we are able to provide our Mokena and New Lenox locations for your dining convenience.

We specialize in both Cantonese and Mandarin cuisines. Cantonese style is probably the most familiar to Americans, originating from the southern regions of China, and is best known for its quick, stir-fry cooking, a method of cooking where the meat is tender and the vegetables are crisp. Mandarin style originates from the northern region of China and is best known for its spicy flavor.

May we suggest that in order to fully appreciate our cuisine, you should choose a variety of dishes from different groups (e.g. seafood, beef, chicken, pork, vegetarian), and then share them family style. For your convenience, we recommend you try our deluxe or family dinners which have a delicate balance of flavor and variety.

Our wait staff will be delighted to inform you of our daily specials in addition to our regular menu. It is our pleasure to serve your dietary needs. If you have a special request concerning MSG, salt, oil, etc., please inform our server, and our chefs will prepare your food as specified.
